Case Study: Export Quality Packaging for Complete Plant Machinery at Nipro PharmaPackaging, Meerut

Project 1

Project Overview

Choudhary Wooden Packers was approached by the Nipro PharmaPackaging team for an urgent meeting at their Meerut facility. At that time, our team was already occupied with another ongoing project, but due to the urgency and importance of the requirement, we prioritized the visit and reached the site as requested.

During the meeting, Nipro’s management team gave us a complete plant visit. At that stage, the machinery was still in assembled condition, and the requirement was to prepare the equipment for safe export-quality packaging and dispatch.

The project involved approximately 140 machines and equipment, including heavy-duty machinery, medium-sized machines, lightweight components, and sensitive items. The client required a reliable packaging solution that could protect the machinery for a long duration, as the packed equipment might remain stored for up to 2 years.

Client Requirement

The client needed complete machinery packaging with the following key requirements:

  • Export-quality wooden packaging
  • Moisture protection for long-term storage
  • acuum packaging for machinery protection
  • Heavy-duty wooden boxes and pallets
  • Safe handling of heavy and sensitive machines
  • Proper lashing and securing of machines
  • Heat-treated and fumigated wooden packaging
  • Safety markings and export-standard identification
  • Cost-effective solution within a limited budget
  • Fast execution without compromising quality
Project 2

Challenge

The project came with multiple challenges.

The first challenge was the scale of the job. Around 140 machines had to be inspected, measured, categorized, and packed properly. Many machines were heavy, large in size, and sensitive in nature.

The second challenge was the long-term protection requirement. Since the packed machinery could remain stored for up to 2 years, it was important to prevent moisture, rust, and transit damage.

The third and biggest challenge was the budget. The client required a reliable and export-worthy solution, but the approved budget was limited. They needed a vendor who could provide the right technical solution without unnecessary cost escalation.

Our Approach

Our team started with a detailed site inspection and machine analysis. We physically inspected the machines, understood their structure, checked handling points, and prepared a detailed working report.

To make the project practical and cost-effective, we divided the machinery into categories:

  • Heavy-duty machines
  • Medium-weight machines
  • Lightweight equipment and accessories
  • Sensitive machinery and precision components

After categorizing the machines, we worked on dimensions, weight, handling requirements, and packaging design for each category. This helped us provide the client with a practical and optimized packaging solution.

Project 3

Packaging Solution Provided

For this project, we used a combination of heavy-duty materials and export-standard protection methods. The packaging included:

Heavy-Duty Plywood Boxes
Eucalyptus wood support structure
Heat-treated wooden material
Fumigation Process
Vacuum Packaging
Desiccants for moisture control
Proper internal support and cushioning
Machine lashing with pallet base
Chocking and securing of machines
Safety marking on boxes
Export-standard handling instructions

Each machine was packed with proper care to ensure protection from moisture, handling damage, vibration, and long-term storage risk.

Project 4

Execution

Once the project was awarded to Choudhary Wooden Packers, our team stayed on-site until the complete work was finished. We deployed our packaging team at the Meerut plant and executed the work in a planned and disciplined manner.

The project was originally expected to take around 45 days, but with proper planning, manpower management, and continuous execution, we completed the entire packaging work in approximately 30 days.

Result

The project was completed successfully within the required timeline and budget. Choudhary Wooden Packers delivered:

  • Packaging of approximately 140 machines and equipment
  • Export-quality wooden packaging
  • Vacuum protection for machinery
  • Moisture protection for long-term storage
  • Heat-treated and fumigated packaging
  • Heavy-duty lashing and securing
  • Safety marking and identification
  • Faster completion than expected timeline

This project demonstrated our capability to handle complete plant machinery packaging, especially for customers who require reliable export packaging, long-term storage protection, and safe movement of industrial machinery.
